avatarTo add to the feature requests:
  • eval() debugging
  • ability to see and debug events attached to elements using obj.addEventListener()

Perhaps I should just link you to firebug's release notes :D

We'd be happy for a few of you to take part in the testing. Let me know.

Hi,
are there any news about the new developer tools? If it is not too late, I'd also sacrifice me for testing purposes

Why not use this nice DOM Console icon?
Dragonfly
And of course latest Opera is needed: http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/2008/05/06/getting-ready-for-dragonfly

For windows and linux, beta 2 already has all it needs. Only Mac kids need to upgrade to the latest snapshot to use it. I'll use the dom console button instead... good idea.

avatarNice button  There is a little Opera Dragonfly icon, that is simplified from the logo on the Dragonfly blog, but it isn't quite ready yet.

It's quite simple:

1. Get the latest 9.5 build
2. Go to the "Tools > Advanced > Developer Tools" menu

This is true if you are using the default menus... which is less likely for the class of people that dragonfly appeals to. The button is then the only way to access it.

As fearphage explained, there is not much of a difference in terms of using Dragonfly if you are in Windows.
But the one posted by me is never, have some bugs fixed.

Drag your mouse up or down when you click and hold the link, as opposed to left or right.

The buttons got broken during a recent upgrade, and I have submitted a request to fix them, so hopefully they will be working again very soon.

thanks for your patience.
