bookmark tags
Opera has always been my browser of choice, especially since I dual boot windows linux with both profiles pointing to the same location on the file-system. It's memory footprint, session management and page zooming kept me hooked. As a result I now have many hundreds of bookmarks -- most not sync'd on Link, since I lost my OperaMini mobile phone.
All my hundreds of bookmarks are very carefully tagged; I use the description field to put keywords in that I can then search for -- sort of by topic. This has required a great deal of discipline, and is hard to get right. The search is a text string search, not a word search... so it can be hard locating all my bookmarks for a given set of keywords.
So, this is really a feature request: improve opera's bookmark handling by adding keywords and or bookmark tags and tag management. A way to convert existing an existing bookmark descriptions into tags would really help too.
It's a feature I've wanted for sometime -- and was pleasantly surprised to find in the latest version of you know which browser.
Thanks,
Alex.

I'm 100% with Alex in his request.
Some functionality like Powermarks' would be great, especially when using Opera under Linux. I've had for some time a large powermarks file and a bunch of bookmarks on Opera on hold waiting for some open-source, offline application to manage and tag bookmarks and it seemed it'll never come. Now "you-know-which-browser" has done it and I really hope Opera will implement this one, because I still like Opera best.
Thanks,

Great idea. Additionally, remove the annoying and superfluous Details button.
When hovering over a bookmark show the full Title above the Address as the title lines are often ellipsised.
Quick Find results are tough to work with. Allow Quick Find to match folder names too and an option to open any folder clearing the Quick Find search.
Suggest that Manage Bookmarks offer sortable column heading or better spreadsheet like filters for every column (detail) carried by bookmarks such as Name, URL, Date Created, Date Last Used, Usage Count, and so on. Maybe a status line at the botton showing the number of bookmarks, number of folders, and so on.
Also the possiblity of organizing bookmarks along M2 lines using tags: now that would be so cool.

Has the keyword/tagging of bookmarks received any more attention?
A bookmark's "description" field is not nearly as useful for searching with "Quick find" as tags would be.
Could bookmarks search be improved so that a search for "uk london" would return bookmarks with "london uk" in their description?
Could tags be added to a bookmarks meta-data?
Would the search actually require more than a little dev work to enable? is it a Qt widget?

Hi spinctrl, CADutch, e.trece - thanks for the tips.
However,
http://my.opera.com/community/forums/forum.dml?id=24 is probably a better place to discuss these things.
