avatarWell done, but is there any way you can tell it where you are, as a site such as www.bbc.co.uk blocks alot of content if you are not in the UK, and it thinks I am not, even though I am?
Also it doesn't seem able to display my Google Apps homepage, it comes up with a Google site in some Scandinavina language instead.

Cheers

This is because your content is being rendered in an Opera Mini server farm (the main one is in Norway) before being sent to your phone, so the sites think that's where you are. A bit of a downside, but I think you should be able to override this in many of the web apps you use. I'll do some digging to see if I can come with any more tips to get round this.

avatarCould I use the keyboard of the Window mobile itself? The opera mini 5.0 beta default keyboard is not a complete one, I can;t find some of symbols for my regular typing. Besides I can use my Ce star o key in Chinese and Japanese character, I miss these things.

Furthermore, could I get the synchronisation function with opera link like that in ver 4.2?
This function is amust for opera mini.

Thanks for the feedback - this is definitely something we will be improving upon in the final version.

Link is planned for inclusion in the final version, I believe. I'll check on it for you, just to make sure.

Thanks for the reply, I guessed it was something like that. I suppose the 'Scandinavian language' is Norwegian then.

avatarDear developer

I am using Nokia 5800

In opera mini 5 doesn't have synchronizing of our speed dials bookmarks facility. in previous version 4.2 have that facility it is available in opera mini 5 or not

And one more thing this new opera mini is not supporting downloading feature. when we download the movie clips its connecting to the mobile default browser but in old version 4.2 have direct downloaded from opera min its not connecting to default browser.

Please replay my query for these two options

You are talking about Opera Link - the beta doesn;t have this, but rest assured, it should be going in to the final release version.

Mini doesn't the capacity to play movies, Flash or otherwise, so it should be connecting to the device's default media player. If we are talking Flash, that would probably be the default browser, if it supports Flash. Are using the same phone as you were using 4.2 on? I'm happy to investigate this behaviour with you.

best regsrds,

Not for me with a Sony Ericsson P1i: Keyboard and Jog Dial don't work. So for example I can't navigate throu the page using 2-4-6-8 nor with the wheel.
But Speed Dial with the touchscreen-ability (big buttons) is great, also tabbed browsing!

I'm missing Sync functionality but as it seems this will be fixed for the final version, I hope so!

avatarHi there!

I am from Hungary, we all love to use this app. here!
Personally, I was amazed of this new Opera, of course, at first because of the tabs. It gets better and better!
I hope, some days the flash playing will be solveable too..., but I know, it is not only your 'resort'.
Only one suggestion... When I tried to login to a mailbox, I had to click so many times (more than in prev. version), till I got to "@". (Yeah, sadly I have to give the full address in, like "vipmail.hu" in Hungary.)
Will it be possible to bring the "@" back next to .:;, for about 3-4th character on the line?

Thank you for all and your hard work about it!

Best regards!

avatarSwitching to uppercase in password field for inserting uppercase chars does not work if inline editing is activated.
Opera Mini 5 ß does not show entered uppercase char but lowercase char.

But after decativation inline editing i can enter the correct passwords.

Thank you.

In addition, I also can't open any page in magnifier mode using custom phone's font size, opening page will rebooting the phone. Fyi, I feel more convenient in custom phone's font size when using my phone. Running The Mini version 4.2 can be done properly in magnifier mode.

avatarI'm a nokia e61 and an opera mini 4 user.

I've been trying this opera mini 5 beta app for about a month and was very pleased with all the new features. tab browsing for mobile browsing? I couldn't ask for more, it's like a dream come true! the new looks is also superb.

I just regret one thing for this amazing app: why oh why it can't recognize all the saved pages I've saved from opera mini 4? or maybe I'm not doing it right? I've set my target folder to the exact folder where I saved those pages.

I've about 20 pages or more and it feels silly (not to mention irritating) if I have to re-search and re-save all of those pages.

any help, please?

thank you.

avatari'm using e51, everything works fine, but can't download file from filehosting sites especially rapidshare, after i click download, it pause the download and can't resume.

By mssahota1986 anchor Thursday, 10. December 2009, 09:57:01

avatarplease also upgrade it to download .zip and .rar files, also flv videos from other sites like megavideos would work!

avataropera mini 5 should also have some features like pause, resume and multiple servers. Even archive view and extraction. Also great support to full web flash videos and flash games. You've designed this browser very well but please also get full support for the desktop versions of epaper.timesofindia.com, java applets, flash games and videos(all of desktop versions) Even a seperate mobile integrator on mail mobile program should be there. With this when you'll go to default feature of mail in phone(for example nokia or any other) opera mail will open and will give full support to mails like yahoo, msn, gmail, sify and times. A spell check also multi touch user interface(for this you can contact me).
