Why do I need an account?

If you just want to surf around, you're welcomed to do that without creating an account. However, if you're interested in posting in the forums or submitting your own articles, you will need to have an account.

Can I log in using my Opera Community username and password?

Yes, you can log into Dev Opera using your existing My Opera account.

I have created an account but can't log in.

Make sure that your browser has cookies enabled and that you spell your username and password correctly. If this does not help, delete your browser cookies and try again. If it still does not help then visit the Lost password page to generate a new password.

I have forgotten my password!

Visit the Lost password page and fill in your e-mail address in the form. We will then generate and send a new password to you.

I have changed my e-mail address.

You can update your e-mail address on the edit profile page.

I need help with my Opera browser.

You can get help about the Opera browser in the Opera.com support section, and in the Opera Community forums.

How do I get a small picture at the top of my forum posts?

These small pictures are called 'Avatars'. You can upload your own avatar on the edit profile page.
